Some Personal Reflection as the Year Unfolds

I t is the first of my write-ups in the New Year and on that note I bid every potential reader of this piece a great new year. The year is some few days old and as the first month is almost done with, I have had a little challenge as to what to put up on my eco-blog for a starter in the New Year. Finally, I have decided to come out in a more personal way which I believe would inspire more ideas needed for the rest of the year. The year seems quite young to have enough variables to predict some possibilities and it’s a little too early to assume any level of certainty as regards where we left off on issues that got the most attention in 2016. However, there are certain fixed factors that may fuel some happenings in the New Year, but then, a whole lot of events are unpredictable at least for now. Each school has developed its own SPARE program to enable their respective participation in the regional and school events. Regional and national SPARE coordinators developed some new information materials for children and teenagers of 3-17 years old for the Energy Saving Day – 2016 and distributed them to all kindergartens, schools, centers of additional training. More than 50 educational institutions in Moscow and the Moscow region became participants of various actions and practical actions in November 2016. In the Moscow region, SPARE creates opportunities for students to become talented scientists in the future. We have created a network of permanent action and scientific students’ Society. Professor Evgeny Titov and Professor Lev Evelson helped develop a set of guidelines for schools, which operate under the program SPARE for a whole year. The Dr. in biology Lydia Povzikova and director of "Orthodox education center" Mikhail Koptev helped develop research programs in model schools in the city of Moscow and the Moscow region.
