The Day of energy conservation has become a common celebration for Muscovites to an extent that anyone can type in Internet search engines bearing the words, and will see a huge number of educational institutions that have on their websites related piece and pictures about their adapted version of the event. This activity is largely due to the fact that the regional coordinators and active SPARE program groups have successfully used a variety of innovative methods for the promotion of energy conservation and efficiency among children and adults.

To further add some innovation to the program, Professor Vladislav Shinkarenko has made energy-saving tips in verses and called the book "Energy from nothing" and actively promote it among the least popular. The constant work of the active SPARE kindergartens group contest themed drawings and photographs, the constant publication of humorous themed pictures via blogs and networks have made it popular among kids. Through this, we have achieved the goal of getting kindergartens and families with young children involved in the processes of conservation of heat, water and resources.

Pupils of SPARE-school made quantitative estimates of this situation and calculated the additional carbon dioxide into the atmosphere per day, month, and year.
