Would there still be a home after all ?

Would there still be a home after all ?
This is a question that seems to shake the walls of today and still resounds into the unknown future of the world. And of course it didn’t come from the mouth of the ones who have seen it all but the small voice of the few who will yet walk the earth like many who did before them.
Apparently a lot of people do not seem to care or take a little time to reflect on the possibilities of losing what we tend to attribute as norm around us, in the regards of our respective immediate environment. Yet a lot of us would always expect to live our lives in the respect of what has always been obtained that in most cases we tend not notice the slight to little changes around us. Overtime, the accumulation of this negligence in turn suddenly becomes the strange threat to our very lives after the many afforded years of opportunities to curb such growth if we had had a little time to reflect on the little things around us.
Yet, because we tend to have the timely supply of the necessities of life, we do not often worry about the factors that surround the continuous in-flow of such commodities or the pleasures we tend to derive from the use of such. In a way, its often put in this way… so much its available, let’s keep using…it has always been and it will always be. Such lame verdict and conclusion seems to rule the world all over and this central note of selfishness stands in the way of a continuous dependent future of the world.
The average sampled lifestyle all around the world is well fractioned into a significant level of un-sustainability in the regards of exploitation and manipulation of the earth’s vast resources. This has formed a basis for the massive environmental devastations and the decay in the relay of social equity which seem rampant today all around us.
Now, I guess we can trace the trend of fault from the average individual innate selfish capability and indifferent attitude to the notably contributed fraction of negligence from a combined unit as a family and to the societal contribution to a more conspicuous world-wide angle of view on our unsustainable lifestyle.
Seriously, often the average human would always envisage leaving behind a fragment of existence on earth; this could be in the likeable form of heirs, heroic legacies, or a memorable achievement which goes on in history. This is all for the sake of posterity and on the same planet whose chances of continuous normal existence seems frail from current events and facts.
How unbelievable and disturbing it seem, the very thought of posterity in the face of our current attitude to the very pivot of our continuous attachment to life- the Earth.
The level of our non-encouraging attitude towards the sustainability of our common essence as humanity on this planet greatly betrays the possibility of a normal future for the on-coming generation. The reality has since shown no degree of remorse from the quarters of concern.
So what then, where do we go from here and what is it the future holds for the yet unborn or perharps to our supposedly posterity?
Should we possibly say we are currently getting to view the future as it may from the ways things are tending towards now or from the facts of ever increasing abnormality that has taken the order of the day in the natural pattern of nature or perhaps should we continue to have our hope kindled in the light of an awakening in the nearest future?
Reflecting on the level of devastations and abnormality the world is witnessing one can’t but say the future of normality on this sphere of existence seems vague accounting from the facts that as abundant as water could be upon the face of the earth, currently some millions of people still have the difficulty of obtaining access to safe water; in a world which is the most habitable in the milky way galaxies because of its abundance of oxygen, a lot of people find it difficult to have pollution free air to breathe; a planet which prides in both flora and fauna diversity now fights hard to sustain and keep almost one third of it once prided diversity from possible extinction. Average weather conditions all over the world have reached a level of high unpredictable fluctuations which has triggered unexpected and devastating events. The earth is rapidly warming on an escalating reference point and now we seem to be witnessing a significant change in the global climate condition which appears to be way faster compared to previous changes in the history of the Earth. No thanks to man and his ways as we are yet to find a way around this possible anthropogenic apocalypse.
So, the question is again would there still be home after all? Yet, the question will keep echoing to the hearing of the ones who have chosen to do nothing while they have the power to change the world not in a little way but in a way the world wouldn’t have forgotten them.
